Ryan Hi! How do you like it at your new school? Do you like it in Cicero?
Let me introduce myself. My name is Don [blank], I'm 18, and I graduated from high school [blank] in May. My favorite TV programs are: "Family Ties," "Wiseguy," "Nightly Business Report" & "MacNeil, Lehrer Newshour" (believe it or not). It probably won't surprise you, then, that I'm going to major in business management/finance in the fall in college.
In case you're not clear,
no, I'm not a pen pal you don't remember writing off for. I'm just a guy who is curious and I had to satisfy that curiosity by writing to you.
I read the article about you in People magazine (May 30, '88), and that article gave me the incentive to write to you. I think it's fantastic that you're keeping such a positive attitude & that you're obviously not letting AIDS ruin you. Romans 8:28 says, "And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God..." Jesus Christ, in His
Sermon on the Mount, told us that we shouldn't worry (Matt 6:25-34). God will take care of His people.
I'm not much of a letter writer, but I said what I wanted to. Thanks for your time.
Your friend, Don [blank]
P.S.-By the way, encourage your mother and neighbors & friends of voting age to vote fore George Bush for President. Yes, I'm a Republican
(conservative). My political philosophy is practically identical with Alex Keaton (Michael J. Fox) of "Family Ties". By the way, did you hear that Fox and Tracy Pollan (she was Ellen Reed on "Family Ties") were supposed to get married soon? I read in The Goshen News that they might have gotten married last Sunday.
