Dear Jeannie and Andrea:

I was terribly saddened by the news
reports that Ryan had lost his long and
valiant struggle. He may have succumbed
to the physical illness, but he triumphed
over the spiritual sickness surrounding
you all for those painful years.

Your story was so important and
uplifting that it was a pleasure to be a
part of it, even if I had to portray David
Rosselot in the Landsburg movie. I enjoyed
the time off we had together in North Carolina and
at the Kennedy Center premiere.

Jeannie and Anderea, you know that in
some ways you have fought a battle as
hard as Ryan's. While all the media attention
and acclaim fell on him, you were there fighting
the same battle and trying to maintain your
identities. You have been a great support for him
and an inspiration to the rest of us.

I hope that your lives go forward in bountiful
ways and that your contributions will continue to be
recognized and appreciated.

All my best wishes,
Nat
