April 18, 1990 Dear Mrs. White,
I felt so impressed to write you a word of encouragment. My name is Mrs. Alisa Grubb from a little town called Calhoun Georgia. My husband Mark is a Southern Baptist Pastor here at ______ Church. We're a small rural church but it's full of love + compassion!
I have never written a letter like this before and your probably getting thousands but I felt so compelled to write you. I have followed your son's illness for sometime and have so much respect for him! I guess one reason he has kept on my mind is
because my son's name is also Ryan! (That was my maiden name.) I could never find the right or even comforting words for you and your fmaily but I just wanted to say we will be praying for you!
I just finished reading the article about Ryan in People Magizine. It really touched me. Your strength as a person + especially a mother truly is inspring!
You can be very proud of your Ryan and my prayers are that my Ryan can turn out to be the same inter [Dr?] person as your son was!
"Our Church will continue to remember you."
"Love In christ", Mrs. Alisa ____
