Dear Ryan,

This is to tell you that you'll get over it
all, one day I'm sure.

I saw your photograph, in a magazine, as I
was coming back from Paris by train. I was moved
of course. Though I'm over 60, or perhaps because
I'm that old, I very often think and even offer
prayers for young people in difficulties. This is
more than a "hobby", a passion for me.

And so, I thought of you and prayed for you,
the other day and I do know tha you'll be helped
through your ordeal.

It was March 21st; it means Spring, doesn't it?
I should not be surprised if on that very day,
March 21, you happened to feel something rather
good for you, however imperceptible it may have
been.

Now, let me tell you a story:

Once upon a time, there lived a young prince
in my country, whose name was Louis-Joseph-Xavier François.
A bright boy of 8, who offered his sufferings for all
young people throughout the world. I like him very much
and I happened to write poems and a book about
his difficult childhood. I know he will listen to
my prayer and look after you.

Be confident, first and foremost... because he is
very powerful where he is now.

I love your country, though I don't know much
of it. I like American families, too. I can't do
anything more than telling you that Louis Joseph
will take care of you.

Cheer up, young man! I'm so confident.
Tell your parents, I don't forget them either.

A friend of yours, I dare say,
Yves [Redacted] [underlined]

It might be interesting finding this book and these poems he mentions. "Once upon a time, there lived a young prince in my country, whose name was Louis-Joseph Xavier François.
